" The MPCC Adopt-A-Business program has had a phenomenal impact on the growth of DMT Imaging, providing “wind beneath the wings” to achieve greater heights faster than I had dreamed possible.  Both the tangible and intangible values of AAB have led directly to measurable success on many levels, providing ever-increasing momentum and profitability for my small business.  Bob Kramer, the Chamber staff and the guest participants at our meetings have provided a wealth of business knowledge, experience and council.  Perhaps the greatest benefit for me has been the way in which DMT Imaging has become integrated with other businesses and a part of the economic vitality of the Peninsula.  Forming mutually beneficial business alliances and helping others in our community is a direct result of AAB that has provided me with limitless opportunity and profound appreciation.

" What the AAB has done for my business is easier to see than explain.
Bringing the basics of business "Common Sense" to the forefront of my mind was the first step. Sometimes when you’re in the tornado it is hard to see the sunshine. After getting past the basics, my mind was open and ready to pull in new information; the only problem was, my time management was not setup very well. It is amazing how well and how efficient one thinks their business is running until they get real training and education. Not only did the AAB show us what to do to advance our business, they also showed us how to refine what we were doing already. The AAB brought in speakers from local businesses that are successful and already use what we are being educated on. Being able to see the results from an active business and gaining insight from them is a huge help in connecting the verbal training with the visual.

My biggest setback with the AAB is actually not with the AAB, it is with me and my time management. This letter was typed on my Blackberry at My Museum while spending time with my two year old daughter. Being connected on my mobile device has become one of the most time efficient add-ons to my life, thanks to the AAB, I have learned about being connected in other ways, so you can disconnect from your desk once and a while to network.

" The Adopt a Business Program has been an invaluable resource and tool for my professional career and business.  It has given me a new perspective and insight into my business that I would otherwise not have had.  Often times as owners of small businesses we tend to get caught up in the day to day aspects of running our business to keep things afloat.  The Adopt a Business program and Bob Kramer have taught me to take the time to look at my business from the outside in lieu of looking at it from the inside out.  This program has provided me structure, guidelines, and parameters to work within and to apply to my business in the areas of finance, operations, HR, organizational planning, marketing, IT, management and countless other areas that are priceless.  It has forced me to recognize and take the steps necessary to remedy the weaknesses in my business as well as how to recognize and capitalize on the strengths which are also present in my organization.

In addition to the fabulous business insight and expertise that this program has provided me, I have also established a lifelong friendship with my fellow Adopt a Business participants.  I know that I will always have an amazing working relationship and camaraderie with Gary and Susan Smith, Michael Troutman, Bob Kramer, and Terry Low.  This experience has bonded us in a way that cannot be expressed in words.  I know that if I ever need advice, an outside perspective, or help in any form or fashion that this amazing group of people will not only be there for me but that they do and always will have my best interest in mind.  And that means more to me than any statistical increase that my business has achieved by being a part of the Adopt a Business program.
